Collaboration L4K3 Pop-up Event
Taro Yakumo participated in a special collaborative pop-up event with the Italian bag brand L4K3, held at Tokyu Plaza Ginza.
The event was organized to celebrate the first anniversary of L4K3’s flagship store, bringing together fashion, art, and contemporary culture within a highly visible retail environment. Known for its distinctive materials and design, L4K3 has gained strong support from influencers and public figures, positioning the brand within a global lifestyle context.
For this collaboration, his artwork expanded beyond traditional canvas formats, utilizing L4K3’s signature bag fabric as a new surface. In addition to original artworks, a series of limited-edition bags featuring hand-painted designs were presented and made available as exclusive collaborative pieces.

The works were based on his Hashtag series, which explores the visual language of social media through the use of trending symbols. For this project, hashtags currently trending in Italy were carefully selected and incorporated into the compositions, creating a dialogue between digital culture and the identity of the Italian brand.
Presented during a celebratory event attended by influencers and guests from the fashion and entertainment industries, the collaboration extended the reach of his artwork into a broader cultural sphere. The project demonstrates how his practice can intersect with fashion and product design, while maintaining a strong conceptual foundation rooted in contemporary visual culture.
