O.C.S.D. Charity Art Exhibition 2023

Taro Yakumo participated in the “O.C.S.D. Charity Art Exhibition 2023,” held at Barneys New York Ginza Flagship Store from November 17 to November 26, 2023, with additional window display presentations continuing through December 20, 2023.

The exhibition was organized by O.C.S.D., a school uniform brand developed by Osare Company, widely known for designing and producing all official costumes for the iconic Japanese idol group AKB48. Leveraging this strong connection to Japanese pop culture, the project brought together art, fashion, and social initiatives within a highly visible commercial setting.

The O.C.S.D. Charity Art Exhibition is part of an ongoing project aimed at supporting students affected by natural disasters and other social challenges, particularly those facing difficulties in attending school or participating in extracurricular activities. Now in its third edition, the exhibition featured works by approximately twenty artists across diverse creative fields, presented with the support of Barneys New York and Goyo Gallery.

The presentation highlights the intersection of contemporary art and public accessibility, demonstrating how artworks can function within commercial and social frameworks while maintaining a strong connection to cultural and artistic discourse.
